Concert Review:
Nov. 10/06
This review is almost finished. It was one of the ones I had to rewrite because I lost most of the files. It should be up as soon as I come back from the Ontario gigs. Here is a portion of what I've written:
This was the biggest concert I have ever been to inside. It was packed right up to the rafters, and we were crammed in like sardines on the floor. I originally could only afford a seat in the third tier, but thanks to Inzane, I got a floor seat.
I was feeling so crappy, and had such a hassle with ACC security tonight, that it took me until the end of Suicide Blonde to be right there in the moment. Unfortunately I missed almost all of Stabilo tonight trying to sort out my seat. In the process I finally got to meet JDIMH.
The countdown began, and at nine seconds, there was this seductive moan that got everybody’s attention.
I wasn’t feeling well enough to go to the Rockstar: INXS after-party at the Guvernment. Before going back to the Ryerson dorm to sleep, I got a chance to talk briefly with Kirk, and Garry after the show. And I had a great discussion with Tod, the Drum Tech about teching, the state of the music business, and Sponge Bob. He’s such a sweetie. I also got the chance to talk with April, who is eloquent, and has such a sparkle in her eyes. Oh, and JD made me a newspaper cell-phone, which I stored safely away in my luggage. I’m going to try and figure out how to harden it.
