INXS Concert Withdrawal, Perfect Strangers video, and more North American dates in November!
It's been 102 days since my last INXS gig. The withdrawal pangs are getting worse by the day.
It's been great to get all the juicy tidbits from concert goers in Asia and Australia. And I love that Tod Burr, Jon's drum tech, keeps us up to date on what's going on. We love the INXS techs!
They just announced today that there will be a third North American leg of the Switched On Tour in November. No doubt further dates will dribble out as they get confirmed, but at the moment they have three Ontario gigs listed: Sudbury, Hamilton, and Oshawa. Unfortunately I don't drive and it will be hard to get to those three Ontario venues without a car. And things are really tight right now, so I'm not sure I'll be able to go. A number of my forum mates are planning on heading down to Myrtle Beach and the Florida shows. It would be a great birthday trip, but it's not in the cards right now. Hopefully I'll have enough time to get the funds together to get tickets to the Ontario shows and worry about getting there later.
I finally got to see all of the 'Perfect Strangers' video. Maybe it was just the quality of the video posted up at Australian SONY music, but it didn't capture the energy or the intensity of the song performed live. And I just don't get the whole plot of the chick in the bathroom applying lipstick, who then forgets the video camera, then suddenly appears on stage filming.

ember! wont would I love it if the WC could provide me such solace, lol...
If only...sigh... Might have to fake it though, along w/new RS, a little Big Brother...what else is there to distract me from what is now a BINXS free summer...
So JYM, what are we going to do when our methadone supply is cut off?
Hi Elisa. So, seeking solace in some reality TV huh? I watched RS: SN, and it's not bad, but I'm not even remotely as interested in it this year because it's not INXS doing the show. That's the main reason I watched it last year.
So, you are in BINXS withdrawal, Ember. Aren't we all! Come back INXS come back. JD needs a keeper for his pretty hair. That hairdo was just wrong. Made the Pretty resemble Lyle L. (no I can't bring myself to actually type out that name, but he was married to Julia Roberts for a while). 80's hair, makeup, and clothing chick was not needed in that video. She is so skinny, I'm surprised she could stand on her own two feet. Ugh.
But I love Perfect Strangers and I loved it live. The video, not so much.
